Who:               A UX Researcher to be the user research authority throughout the whole company

Who are you?

You are a UX researcher with a pro-active attitude, who is ready to be an advocate for our users throughout the whole organization. You are able to effectively overcome obstacles and take the initiative to constantly come up with new ideas and approaches. Also, you are used to working in an agile/scrum environment, preferably within a specialized UX/UI/Design team (3 UX designers, a visual designer, a UX researcher and a team lead)

Next to that, you have:

  • A successfully completed Bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Human Machine Communication/Multimedia;
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience with usability and research in an e-commerce environment;
  • Experience with general market research in an online environment;
  • A strong vision on user experience research;
  • Excellent knowledge about usability heuristics;
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve critical issues with time pressure;
  • A flexible and creative mindset;
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills;
  • Fluent communication skills in Dutch and English.

What will be your challenge?

Within our organization, we are currently making the shift towards being even more user centric, and the UX team is of course playing a key part in this.

It is your job to provide the rest of the organization with “the voice of the consumer”. You will work closely together with our web analytics specialists, UX designers and product owners on continuous CRO projects and new releases. Among your challenges are to take our research framework to the next level, and to develop and implement a new user happiness metric.

Your tasks and responsibilities entice:

  • Collecting user insights and translating these to concrete recommendations;
  • Creating user framework in collaboration with stakeholders to make sure the proper research methodologies are applied;
  • Coaching organization on research skills and set-up process to create a research & test driven organization;
  • Setting up user tests based on clearly defined hypotheses and perform analysis to collect feedback;
  • Acting as the user's advocate within the organization and bridge to business stakeholders by connecting them to the actual users;
  • Creating a strategy and plan of approach to integrate user feedback in the product;
  • Leading live sessions (like focus groups, usability tests, 1-1 interviews);
  • Communicating test results and analysis to internal stakeholders;
  • Optimizing the test processes and accessibility of all data.
